Sketches

I very much enjoy the process of making sketches.  Sometimes I will do the same painting over, or variations 4-5 times before I really feel “acclimated” to the subject matter.  Also, for some time I participated in Daily Painting projects in order to practice my technique and explore new objects, colors, and textures.  In this gallery is a collection of small paintings done over the years that are looser in execution, broader in subject matter, and generally smaller in size.
